This jacket is great for windy conditions. It blocks the wind like its not even there. Make sure you don't purchase this coat thinking it is a full outdoors rugged and ready coat. It definitely is made to layer clothing underneath for warmth and this coat will tackle the wind and rain for you. The zipper and velcro felt nice and strong. The sleeves cuffs are great. I also really liked that the hood was reinforced and was not annoying to wear. My favorite part of this coat is the pockets and the durability of the coat with layers. Love it!

Exactly what I was looking for!

I ordered a large, which is what fits me in the body, but sleeves are usually short on me. Not with this jacket. The sleeves are a perfect length, and the jersey cuffs are a great addition. The articulated elbows allow a great range of motion without pulling tight in the elbows and shoulders. It has plenty of pockets, which are well placed, have lots of space, and are easy to access. The hood has a stiff brim, but sits back flat and out of the way when not being used. It's light enough that I can wear it during most of the rainy months (which we have a few of in the NW), and when it gets cold I just add a fleece underneath. The Dry Q keeps me dry, and the pit vents keep me cool. The powder skirt keeps any snow from getting in and it stays in place. The black jacket has neon green accents on the pocket zips, which are a nice touch and add just a little bit of color. Overall a great jacket

just got this jacket in black a couple days ago, and so far have been very impressed. It breathes well, the "butter jersey" cuffs are really nice and soft, the handwarmer pockets are warm. the snow skirt fits nicely, and is nice and grippy to keep it in place. The fit (for me anyways) is spot-on, loose enough to fit ample layers yet not so baggy your left swimming in it. The zippers work well, velcro is strong. Overall a great jacket, and it looks fantastic in the "flat" black color. I really like the reinforced hood brim, especially since i wear glasses and it helps keep the rain off my face. I am really looking forward to trying it out this winter on the slopes in the Alps. The fit and function of this jacket has left me very impressed.

Excellent Replacement for my 20 Yr Old North Face

We were in Seattle on vacation and stopped in at the Mountain Hardwear store for fun. I saw the frenetic jacket and decided to replace my 20 year old North Face jacket purchased just a few street away many years ago. The staff was excellent and helpful as they guided me through the purchase.

A few days later the jacket performed as planned while out in BC. I should also mention that I got black. The black of this jacket is very cool. It's a flat black and not shiny.
